Jaime is working on reconstructing the blog. It's really in need of something more appealing, now that the template designer can be used. Expect it to look a little--errmmm--out of place and strange for a while!

Mikey, Dorey Park, and Ketchup

Hey, you guys!!  =D

Guess what we did today.  Yep, we went to Dorey Park.  Mostly for the Mikey man.  Got me some photos too, but I still need to upload them to the computer as of yet.  Well, I DID just get home, so you can't give me too much grief.  =P

After we went to the park, we decided to head out to Mickie D's and meet Dad up for some dinner.  I think it's so cute when Mikey says "chicken noogets" and "fwench fwies".

On the way to Mickie D's, we discovered that Mom had some Swedish Fish in the car (which she had forgotten about, go figure).

It was pretty funny.  I was counting up the candy out loud.  We got 10 per person.  So I was like "1, 2....7, 8, 9...", then all of a sudden Mikey goes "10!!".  Haha!

Pretty soon, we arrived at the restaurant.  Restaurant...ha!  Sounds funny saying that about MacDonalds.  But maybe it shouldn't...?  I don't know...

At any hoot, we ordered our food.  I got me some chicken "noogets".  And...of course I managed to embarrass myself by accidentally dipping 3 of my fingers in ketchup while reaching for my nuggets.

Yeah, I was kind of like...what is thisss???  I couldn't really see the ketchup so...my fingers just kind of dove into it.  O.o

Later, after I had manage to wipe every last blob of ketchup off my fingers and out of my nails (GROSS!), I made my french fries walk around to entertain Mikey.  Then, of course, I got scolded for teaching Mikey to play with his food.  Lol.  =P

It was kind of funny when Mikey put his french fry on the table and called it a "snake!  Sssss..!".

When dinner was finished, the parents of pure awesomeness decided to get us some fudge sundaes.  Dad didn't want his nuts so I gladly took them off his hands....well, they were actually out of the bag, but I think you know what I mean.

Then I kind of thought it might be a bit boring for Mikey to just sit there and eat "Aun' Missy's" ice cream, so I gave him some of the lids to play with.

He stacked 'em on top each other...and then started shooting them everywhere!!  And umm...Mom's ice cream was thrown into her lap.  Luckily though, it didn't spill out, so there was no mess.

Besides all that...we did the "What do the Illithids do?"  That's a little something I made up.  I got it from a fantasy book.

The Illithids, also known as Mind Flayers, are magical creatures with octopus heads.  It's kind of disgusting what they do.  You can probably guess anyways, so I won't say.

Any hoot, what I do is put my hands in front of my face, wiggle my fingers while making a sound by wiggling my tongue, and put my hands around his head and vibrate them a little.  He loves it!  =D

Well, guess that's about it.  Should be uploading some Dorey Park pictures one of these'm days.  Over and out!

Going to Dorey Park - 2:00

We'll probably be taking Mikey to Dorey Park later around 2:00. Hopefully, it won't be too hot. It's been really hot this whole week practically. It's alright sitting in the shade with the wind blowing, but if you're out in the sun, it feels like you're sizzling in a frying pan. HOT!

I might take my camera and take some pictures. In that case, I should probably charge it, huh? Ok charging. Be bad if it cut off on me while trying to take a pic or vid.

Speaking of which, I should probably get those clips of Mikey onto Windows Movie Maker and put them altogether to make a short video.

Well, guess I'll write about how it goes when I get back.

Mikey Man

We took Mikey for a walk around the block today in the stroller. Jaime and Will took turns running him around while I held Annie (our dog) on the leash. It was pretty fun.

When we got back to the house, we let Mikey wander around the front yard. He quite enjoyed pushing his stroller around. Even gave me a hug (one of his falling-on-top-me-while-I'm-sitting-on-the-ground hugs. =D).

Later in the day (or possibly before) we (Will, Jaime, and Me later) swung Mikey around in his toy bucket. Toy bucket as in: the bucket he puts his toys in. ;)

Soon after Mikey had gotten up from his nap, Jaime (I think it was her) put a movie on. Well, I was just sitting there watching it, and Mikey runs up to me, bringing me all these toys. He's throwing tennis balls at me, bringing me a toy to wind up for him, climbing up in my lap, begging for little pieces of my apple....yeah, silly kid. Ha. =)

Then later, I picked up all these little blocks and toys, and Mikey takes the little block bucket and dumps it right on his head! I clean it up again, and what does he do? Dumps it on his head. And then, once their all on the ground he starts going crazy with his hands whacking blocks everywhere. Guess it wasn't messy ENOUGH for him. Ha!

Man, I love that boy! Even if he is bratty sometimes.

He sure loved that big window of ours. Kept looking out and saying "tee" (tree).

TEES!!!

Mikey loved going upside down. (That's his dad on the phone there. Michael. Our cousin.)

Day 1: Babysitting Baby Mikey

Baby Mikey's been playing for the last few hours non stop. He kept laughing at me when I was eating cereal this morning.

Man, all I have to do is smile at him, and he cracks up. He has this funny little chuckle too. It almost sounds fake, but it's not. He opens his mouth up really wide and laughs: ah haha...ha....hahaha.

He was so fascinated by the birds earlier when Jaime was cleaning her bird cage. We have lovebirds. He was just staring up at them. Once in a while he'd point at one of them.

Mikey loves the big window we have in the front. He's always climbing up on this wood coffee table to stare out the window and point to the trees saying, "tee". I think that's his favorite word. o.O

Finally he got tired, and we put him to bed. We put him down in the playpen in Mom and Dad's room at around 11:50.

He did NOT want to take his nap; I can tell you that. He screamed and cried for about a minute and then whined for the last 9 minutes before finally falling asleep. He was tired though, so it didn't take too long. =)

Baby Birds

Today, we found something very cool. Well, let me start from the beginning.

A few days ago my mom told me that there was a bird nest in the small tree right beside our shed. When I looked into it, I saw eggs! There were about four of them in all. I know it's normal for nests to have eggs in them, but, fact is, it was still kind of surprising to me. I just had never really seen a nest up close like that. Or seen eggs in a nest (not counting our lovebirds' nest).

Then today, as I was talking to Will, my mom came to me and Will and said she had heard little quiet peeps coming from the nest beside the shed in our back yard. I got something to stand on and looked inside the nest. I saw nothing at first. All I saw was movement. Then I saw a little tiny beak reach up! It was so cute! It's mouth was open and it was peeping and probably calling for its mother. I got Courtney with her camera and she took some pictures.

Aren't they cute?

Awww!

This is my favorite pic because the one's
mouth is open so wide.

Well, that's all the pictures. I think I'll stop now. Hope you liked the pictures!

Lydia Is Fine!

We just found out today that baby Lydia is alright. It seems that she found something on the floor and tried to swallow it. Lydia had to have surgery to remove it from her throat. After surgery the doctors discovered that it was a little plastic star that she had tried to swallow and it went down the wrong way. It probably got stuck because it had a bunch of points. But now, After her surgery, Lydia is fine and her family is so happy. Thanks for your prayers!

Isn't she cute?!?!

Get Well Soon Lydia!

I would like to ask all people who visit the blog to please pray for Lydia Wassenberg to get well because she has been sick. I'm sure that her family would appreciate any prayers if you would remember her in your prayers. She swallowed something that makes her cough really bad. (She is a baby.) She has had to visit the hospital a few times already and her family hates to see her coughing. They love her so much. So, please pray for baby Lydia to get well soon.

Freedom To Peck: A Story Written Together

Freedom To Peck

By: The Robinsons

Johnny Pecker, a runt of a chicken, squeezed through the wire fence that surrounded the henhouse, and took off with a sprightly bound across the yard. Mother had scolded him for pecking at everything in his path, including his twelve siblings, so he had escaped while his mother was napping drowsily on her new batch of eggs. Joyfully, he moseyed about until he came upon an enormous tractor tire, which he immediately began pecking happily. Losing interest in the tire, he proceeded toward the tool shed, where he hammered his beak on several rusty tools which were strewn carelessly on the ground beside the shed. As he was pecking away at the tools, he noticed a peculiar looking snake snoozing in the afternoon sun, and because of his curious nature, he decided to investigate. This was the life! How wonderful it was to be finally free of his strict mother and her lenghthy lectures!

Cautiously at first, Johnny pecked on the snake because he wanted a playmate. As the snake did not awaken immediately, he began to peck even more insistently. Growing impatient with this slothful reptile, Johnny began to tease it rudely,"You are just as lazy as you are rubbery, and your head looks funny too!" When the snake did not respond to these taunts, he began to peck at its back more viciously than ever. Out of nowhere, a drenching waterspout rushed into his beak, causing him to be violently thrown into the air befor landing in a soggy heap.

Running frantically, he sped to the henhouse where his mother was just awakening from her nap, which had been most refreshing for once, since Johnny had not been there to cause trouble. In a panic, Johnny rushed under his mother's stretching wings, relieved that he had not been killed by the savage beast, and had lived to see his dear mother again. Since he was soaked and hungry, his mother kept him by her side and fed him some warm cornmash. Gratefully, Johnny nestled beneath her cozy wings and watched his siblings play. He was even glad to leave them alone because he had learned a lesson about pecking on others. Never again would Johnny desert the henhouse, not even for freedom to peck as he pleased.

THE END
