Jaime is working on reconstructing the blog. It's really in need of something more appealing, now that the template designer can be used. Expect it to look a little--errmmm--out of place and strange for a while!

What Is A True Christian And How Do You Know If You Are Saved?

A true Christian is, to put it quite simply, a person who follows the Bible and does what it says. A true Christian OBEYS God and has NO pleasure in sin. A true Christian will HATE their sin. They will sin, don't get me wrong, but they do not WANT to sin because it displeases God. A Christian is a person currently obeying God.

THEIR IS NO ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED! That is the lie of the devil. That is the same lie that the serpent (Satan speaking from it) told Eve in the Garden of Eden. "You shall not surely die," he said. Basically he was saying that you can disobey God and not be punished.

The Bible, however, says differently. The Bible, throughout both the New and the Old Testament (if you will only read it for yourself), says very clearly that those disobedient will get what they deserve, eternal damnation in Hell.

But, who are the disobedient? Who are those who will be tossed into Hell? Let me show you by this verse.

1 Corinthians 6:9-14 (New King James Version)

***Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.***

Those who love God obey Him. It's as simple as that.

John 14:21 (NKJV)

***He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”***

You want to know if you are truly saved? Look at these verses below.

1 John 2:3-11 (NKJV)

***Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning. Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.
He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.***

Do you think you are truly saved, or have you been deceived? So many have been deceived into thinking that God doesn't care what you do, that once you are saved, you are always saved. But, as the Bible says, God sees the wicked everyday and hates sin. He will NOT allow sin into Heaven. As long as you are following Jesus, you will be saved, but if you get off the path that leads to life, you have death coming to you.

Stop sinning and repent. Read the Bible and do what it says. Christ can save you if you'll only let Him. God bless!

(Sorry if I'm a bit rambly. It's just that one thing always seems to lead to another.)

A Christian poem I Wrote

This is another poem I wrote last night. (Wednesday) This is a Christian one that calls us, Christians, sheep and Jesus the shepherd. It is made of all couplets. It illustrates some things that we Christians might have to go through spiritually. Here it is. Enjoy!

A Shepherd's Love
By: Jaime Robinson

The Lord is my shepherd,
I will listen to his word.

Though I am a sinner,
He will make me a winner.

From my sin, I took a leap,
And became one of His sheep.

But a wolf came and he,
Decided to take me.

He came very sneakily,
And used his flattery.

As a weak sheep, I fell for it,
And landed in his dark pit.

Then I began to pray,
Every night and every day.

On the seventh day I saw,
The Lord of light and law.

Then my Lord was struck,
And He fell in the muck.

The wolf came from around a bend,
Struck my Lord again, and that was the end.

"He's gone," the wolf said.
My Lord was dead.

I kept thinking about it,
But remained in the pit.

Then it was, after three days,
I looked up and saw golden rays.

Suddenly, I was out of the pit,
And that was when I saw it.

I slowly, carefully, turned around,
And fell on my face on the ground.

I was now revived,
For my Lord was alive.
